Animal Totem Art Workshop with Southwest Artist, Stephanie Lenchard-Warren (1)

An animal totem is a spirit being representative of a group or individual. In this workshop, you will explore your personal animal totem and/or animal guides that may be of significance to you. Guided by southwest artist, Stephanie Lenchard-Warren (also known as SLW), students will explore animal meanings through symbolism, biology, psychology, and mythologies in order to apply them to their own lives through the creation of art. Each student will make a piece of artwork using provided materials to take home at the end of the workshop to mark their experience. 

Dry mixed media materials and paper will be provided. Students may bring any additional materials they would like to work with. Students are encouraged to bring photo references of any animal(s) they are interested in drawing.
