Julie Shapiro Live

Julie Anne Shapiro is a singer, dancer, actress, and creative originally from NY, currently living in NM. Leading with a purpose to "make art, make change," Julie engages in artistic expression that calls people to deepen into their truth. Since receivin her BFA in Musical Theatre from SUNY Fredonia in 2019, Julie has been traveling around the USA working in regional theater and film, singing in song circles, dancing at festicals and jamming with artists from around the world. Along with her guitar, Julie loves to create original covers of music rooted in love, prayers for peace and vulnerability. Called by the flower children's songs, she gravitates towards folksy music from the 60s and 70s.  Joni Mitchell, Carol King, and Simon and Garfunkel are a few of her inspirations. Trusting in the medicianl power of music, Julie also brings improvisation into her performances to alchemize the energy of the space. Brayden (centresounds) will often join Julie in performance, collaborating to improvise songs and soundscapes.
